The Facilities Specialists works with the Facilities Director and assists the Operation Teams in day to day proactive and preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure a first class building and lower down times on the equipment and fixtures.
Regular coaching/training of Operation Teams to ensure cost savings.
Works with local vendors to verify services.
Key Responsibilities includes (but not limited to):
Supports the Facilities Objectives, including: “If you are not serving the guest, serve someone who is.
”
Perform regular on-site surveys and assess needs of the Restaurant proactively.
Manage daily work orders, vendor repairs and emails.
Make repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
Perform Preventative Maintenance services semiannual on HVAC and Refrigeration and bi-monthly Preventative Maintenance on the tortilla machine in assigned area.
Maintain tracking report of PM services handled by Vendors and inhouse.
Assist Operations with reviewing and quick closing of all Restaurant work orders to include following up with vendors to ensure timely completion of critical and priority work orders.
Handles on-call for a week on a rotating basis with other Facilities Specialist for the brand.
Work with the Vendors to resolve service and billing issues in assigned area.
Purchase supplies & equipment needed for replacement and maintenance.
Work with vendors and evaluate quotes for best repair and pricing.
Coaching and working with the Managers and HOH Teams to lower unnecessary R&M spend and proper use and care of their equipment and building.
Work with Senior Facilities Specialist on special large capital projects as needed.
Train managers on basic preventative maintenance and vendor follow-up.
Knowledge, Skills, & Requirement:
3-5 years of experience working with cooking equipment in Handyman or Facilities Role
High School diploma required.
Basic handyman skills such as electrical, plumbing, painting, equipment maintenance and other regular repair and maintenance needs of a busy Restaurant.
Candidates must have great communication skills and be highly organized.
Professional proficiency in Word, Excel and Facility Management Platforms
Proven ability to prioritize and manage time to accomplish objectives within a fast-paced environment.
Motivated self-starter who can work independently or with a team under minimal supervision
Exceptional customer service skills and “service-minded” attitude
Requires daily travel around region, both day trips and overnights
Physical Requirements:
To perform the duties of this position, must have the ability handle prolonged standing, walking, sitting, moving and carry, lift, pull, push between – 55 lbs.
Ladders used frequently and roof access required.
Use a computer, with repetitive movement of both hands.
Must be able to work an 8-hour shift with alternating days and night schedules, with some overtime.
Must also be available to travel to various locations by airplane or by operating a vehicle if needed.
