Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal User Application Liaison to interface between systems analysts/programmers and users located in a specialized area to ensure that information technology designs meet the needs of the end users within an organization.
This position will be responsible for documenting product/service requirements and developing test procedures to ensure user requests are carried out.
This position will require general-logic knowledge of system capabilities without necessarily the ability to program.
This position will analyze, evaluate, modify, configure, test and implement enterprise-wide purchased systems (e.
g.
SAP, PeopleSoft, CATS, etc.
) and prepares application system specifications.
This position will plan, implement and coordinate system upgrades, enhancements or maintenance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain Payroll & Timekeeping systems, setting & operating to objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives & company policy Program management responsibilities including: planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality Managing, coordinating, planning and organizing all activities and matters related to Payroll and Timekeeping configuration for the SAP system.
Partnering with stakeholders to ensure systems meet business needs and objectives including: acting as a liaison for the customer community around changes, enhancement requests, maintenance, communications, and strategic direction Managing production incidents for Payroll and Timekeeping systems including Break/Fix, Maintenance, User Reports, User Training, Enhancement Requests ensuring incidents are addressed per service level agreements Performing equired analysis of alternatives to assist with strategic planning related to Payroll and Timekeeping systems, ensuring business needs are understood and appropriately addressed; Develop System Roadmaps for Payroll & Timekeeping Providing leadership for all Payroll and Timekeeping system initiatives ensuring alignment to strategy Monitoring effectiveness of Payroll and Timekeeping products and services to ensure optimal value to the business Establishing operating procedures that affect the Payroll and Timekeeping teams.
Interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to policies as needed Influencing the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization This will position will require candidates who are highly organized, with the ability to lead a large team through change while maintaining day-to-day operations Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience Must have proven analytical skills and ability to resolve complex payroll issues Prior functional SAP payroll and timekeeping applications experience Solid software skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Payroll and/or accounting experience with a large (50K+ employees) Preferred Qualifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) #LI-COR Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
