MS Dynamics GP Specialist Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced MS Dynamics GP Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of MS Dynamics GP and a proven track record of successfully implementing, configuring and maintaining ERP solutions.
As an MS Dynamics GP Specialist, you play a key role in optimizing our business processes, providing technical support, and ensuring the seamless functionality of the Great Plains system and other financial applications.
This position will be a member of the Finance/Accounting organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work closely with the MS Dynamics GP Administrator to oversee the day-to-day administration and maintenance of MS Dynamics GP as well as to identify and implement process improvements.
Assist with providing daily support for all GP users for regular operations and integrations to other systems.
Modify tables/master files making additions and changes as required.
Work with existing system workflows as well as assist with the configuration of additional workflows as needed.
Support accounting department with EOM, EOQ and EOY closings to conform to corporate directives.
Develop and maintain application and process documentation as necessary.
Assist with the development of Financial Statements.
Participate in and lead various projects to implement GP Modules, Add-ons and other financial applications.
Assist with system integration testing between Microsoft Dynamics GP and other financial and operational applications.
Validate changes to the GP system including changes to integration maps, implementing new add-ons, upgrading add-ons and new software versions.
Execute and coordinate UAT test cases related to upgrades and financial application implementations.
Provide consistent and clear status in verbal and written communications.

Strong background in accounting with a solid understanding of principles and processes and the flow of data into the General Ledger and financial statements is required.
Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP Financial, Sales, Purchasing and Inventory modules.
Proficiency in using SQL and SSMS.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required to assist with data transformation.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to meet project deadlines.
Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive and concise documentation.
Detail-orientated team player who is adaptable to change.
Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Requires minimal supervision/ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism.
Education and Experience: Education: Two-year degree or equivalent work experience in a similar environment Preferred: Bachelor level degree in accounting or computer science (or related field) Experience: Minimum five years of relevant experience Preferred: Working knowledge and experience with Great Plains Software Physical Requirements and Work Content: Americans with Disability Specifications: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
