*Job Schedule, Compensation, and More* * During the school year this position consistently works 3-4 hours a day between 3-7 pm Monday-Friday.
* Schedules will differ during school holidays and during the summer.
The Link offers full-day camps from 7am-7 pm.
This position can work 4-8 hours shifts during full-day camps.
* Part-time staff can work up to 1,000 hours per year (January 1-December 31).
* We offer flexible scheduling.
* Earn double their hourly wage for working on a city observed holiday.
* Starting pay is $10.

* Earn up to $300 a year for non-longevity pay.
* Annual raises are typically given on October 1st.

* Employees can bring their own children (must be between 4-12 years old) to after school program or summer camp for free as long as they are also on shift and space allows.
*Job Summary: After School Attendant* Under direct supervision, this position assists with all aspects of the after school program.
*This position performs a variety of customer service duties, including working and playing with children, talking with parents and maintaining a controlled, high energy camp environment.
Responsible for interacting with children ages 5-12*.
Additionally, assisting the management team with certain aspects of operations.
*Essential Functions:* * Provide excellent customer service through effective and professional communication with external campers and parents about all aspects of the After School program, expectations, and behavior concerns.
This includes modifying communication to the audience, both adults and children; and following policy and procedures and enforcing them with consistency and tact.
* Facilitates management of the after school programming; this includes games, activities, crafts, events, field trips both in The Link and at other venues balancing energetic oversight of campers with empathetic discipline.
* Assist with maintaining a clean and safe recreation center facility and camp and/or after school program environment.
While janitorial work is not the specific job duty of any particular employee, each member of the staff will be expected to assist in the cleanliness and safety of the Link and its internal and external amenities.
Camp Counselors will complete building walk-through to visually ensure the Link is in good order.

* Help management staff with room set-up and clean-up, including table and chairs stacking and un-stacking.
Also during events and rentals, Attendants will continue communication with renter to ensure expectations are met.
* Safely drive and transport program participants to various locations including to and from school, programming locations and field trips as needed.
* Assist management staff with delegated duty in order to provide higher level service or quality of programs.
* Maintains integrity, professionalism, values and goals of the city by assuring that all rules and regulations are followed and that accountability and public trust are preserved.
* Cooperates with co-workers professionally to accomplish work efficiently and effectively.
*Job Requirements* * Applicant must be at least 16 years of age * Applicant must pass a criminal background check (applicants 18-up), pre-employment drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
* Applicant must be able to drive or have reliable transportation *The Link Event & Recreation Center *is the City of Richland Hills' multi-purpose community facility for all ages.
It opened in April 2017 with the purpose of cultivating relationships with the citizens of Richland Hills and surrounding areas.
The Link focuses on several avenues to improve fitness, promote creative arts, and enhance education for all who use the facility.
The Link is approximately 28,000 square feet.
The Link has a Gymnasium, Fitness Floor, Indoor Track, Game Area, Bird's Nest childcare, Museum, Group Fitness Room, Personal Training Studio, Locker rooms with Showers, and private rental spaces.
