Summary / Position Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data architectures that support the organization's strategic objectives.
As a Data Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable data solutions.
This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data modeling principles, and proficiency in database technologies.
Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
Data Strategy Development: Develop and implement data strategy to align with overall organizational strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
Data Modeling: Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support application development and business intelligence needs
Database Management: Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of database management systems.
Implement and enforce data security policies to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches
Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks to enhance overall system efficiency
Data Governance: Establish metadata standards and processes to ensure data lineage, quality, and governance.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and technical specifications
Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data management, recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness
Qualifications & Experience
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
2+ years working as a Data Architect or in a similar role, with a strong background in database design and data integration
Expertise in .
NET development and Microsoft Fabric
Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases (e.
g.
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Python and Cognos skills are a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions
Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data security best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.
g.
, GDPR, HIPAA)
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
