The Role
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will be part of the Brokerage Platform Domain supporting the Ops Workstation team within R4.
This area plays a critical role in supporting the next generation of desktop functionality and workflow processing applications for the Fidelity Institutional (FI) business unit.
The R4 Responsive area is responsible for supporting production environment for mission critical products and applications.
The environment will include distributed, mainframe and Cloud technologies for processing applications.
This role will have an opportunity to work with distributed and cloud technologies.
Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience supporting distributed systems at scale.
Knowledge of working with AWS EKS and AWS managed solutions such as lambda, dynomodb, api gateway, SQS, ec2, s3, CloudWatch, IAM roles / polices, etc.
Experience with project administration tools such as JIRA.
Experience working with CICD pipeline, EKS, Docker, Jenkins, Udeploy, (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory, Terraform, etc.
Experience supporting workflow processing system, AWS cloud services and Openfin is a plus.
Experience writing complex SQL queries , views, packages, functions etc in a relational database environment .
(a plus, but not required) Hands on experience with one or more observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk) Knowledge of best practices of running applications in containerized environments including health checks and rolling update strategies.
(a plus, but not required) Troubleshooting experience with Docker containers and other container orchestration technologies including Nomad and Kubernetes.
(a plus, but not required) Proven technical background and experience with Windows, Linux, networking concepts, and ITSM-based methodologies.
