The Team
Within the Fidelity Open Source and Innersource Technology Governance Group, our team is responsible in providing tools and platforms for all Fidelity Associates to safely consume and contribute to Open-Source technologies.
The team also develops some critical frameworks for the whole enterprise.
The Expertise We’re Looking For BS or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Mathematics 5+ years of technology experience in the development, commercialization and implementation of emerging technologies in financial and high-tech environments.
Experience in API Design & Development and exposure to Microservices Architecture Comprehensive experience in overall end to end Software Solution Engineering in a fast-paced Scrum environment Ability to help clarify user requirements and define accurate use cases Hands-on development skills with potential for technology leadership Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions The Skills You Bring Rapid prototyping of new concepts, technologies, and development methods Experience and understanding of enterprise integration patterns Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, Javascript, TypeScript and PL/SQL Your extensive experience developing applications with Spring Framework specifically Spring Boot, Spring Integration and Spring Batch Your experience of API Design & Development Your experience with design and development using Service Oriented Architectures Your experience with AWS (SES, EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
) and containers such as Docker Your experience with continuous integration and delivery using Concourse and Jenkins Your experience working with front end UI development using Angular, gulp, Node.
js and Jade Your hands-on experience developing software in a Full Stack Developer capacity on an Agile/Scrum team You have strong presentation skills; written and verbal communication including the ability to influence The Value You Deliver Designing and developing software in the capacity of a Full Stack Developer on an Agile/Scrum team Daily activities will involve development, automated testing, meeting with technology peers (including architecture) to work through technical designs, supporting other developers on the team with their deliverables, and participating in Agile ceremonies Playing a key role in the full project life cycle for complex projects across multiple teams.
Participate in problem solving, troubleshooting, performance tuning, production support, and maintenance of existing applications.
Ensuring code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing are completed efficiently and effectively.
