*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Provide patients with assistance with insurance authorizations on medications for coverage under their insurance plan.
· Work with patients, pharmaceutical representatives to obtain information necessary for medication coverage.
· Verify patient’s pharmacy insurance eligibility
· Effectively utilize the EMR as well as online authorization sites for medication programs, i.
e.
CoverMyMeds
· Provide necessary forms for patients for completion and signature, review all forms for completeness and accuracy.
· Telephone triage
· Respond to patient phone calls and concerns
· Process RX refills that come from the pharmacies or patients
· Arrange for consults and outside testing, such as MRI, other imaging, lab work, outside sleep studies using NextGen EHR
· Medical Records requests
· Process and respond to patient requests via our patient portal
· Process
· Assist MAs and providers as needed
· Other job duties as assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:*
· Active LVN/ LPN or Certified Medical Assistant
· Associates or Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
· Up to date on CPR training
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient contact skills and excellent telephone manners.
· Ability to effectively lead a team
*ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, NOT REQUIRED:*
· At least two (2) years of Management experience
· At least one (2) year of related experience in a Neurological setting
