Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities: - Provide formal psychiatric assessments and medication to clients that are needing these services.
- Monitor patients' mental health status and report any changes or concerns to the Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care - Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation - Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality Requirements: - Valid nursing license and certification as a Psychiatric Nurse - Previous experience working in a psychiatric or mental health setting preferred - Knowledge of psychiatric medications, treatments, and interventions - Familiarity with mental health assessment tools and diagnostic criteria - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members - Ability to provide compassionate and non-judgmental care to individuals with mental health conditions - Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and other healthcare software Skills: -Knowledge and experience treating adolescents and adults struggling with substance use disorders and other co-morbid disorders.
Patients will be age 13 and up.
