Job Summary
Brinker is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to be part of the Digital Guest Experience team.
This role will work with the business, IT and vendor partners on a multi-year roadmap within the Digital Guest Experience program.
This program consists of projects across many channels and customer touch points and will enable Brinker to deliver a robust and relevant Guest Experience across our corporate and franchise locations.
Key areas include web and app E-commerce systems, real-time guest analytics and personalized guest engagement features across Guest touch points.
The Solution Architect will work with cross-functional teams to develop business solutions and technical requirements and to lead the detailed design for the associated projects or initiatives.
The Solution Architect will also be responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise standards and design patterns.
Your Key Job Functions
• Collaborate and build-out multi-year Digital Guest Experience technical roadmaps.
• Work with project teams to identify and verify business solutions and technical requirements.
• Participate in formulating solution estimates and project planning.
• Lead the detailed design for the associated project all the way through coding, testing and into production, including resolution of post-production issues.
• Develop and author conceptual, logical and physical design documents.
• Architect and design solutions that are optimized for flexibility, scalability, security and performance.
• Develop and drive architectural standards, best practices and design patterns for the enterprise.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent application of enterprise architecture standards.
• Collaborate with enterprise governance, security, risk and compliance functions.
• Participate in the evaluation, selection and implementation of technology solutions including detailed analysis of build vs.
buy options.
• Provide architectural and technical leadership and coaching to developers through all SDLC phases.
• Serve as solutions architecture subject matter expert to appropriate business are a.
What You Bring to the Team
• BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent formal training or work experience.
• 5+ years' experience in a technical leadership role, leading projects or development teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills - demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences including those at the senior leadership levels.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively influence technical decisions and solutions.
• Experience with designing scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available multi-data center systems.
• Experience with SDLC tools (Jira, Git, Confluence, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Nexus, etc).
• Experience with DevOps standards and best practices.
• Experience as a Tech Lead on an Agile/Scrum team.
• Experience with databases and data access patterns (MySQL, SQL Server, ElasticSearch, Redis).
• Strong background in service-based application integration (Web Services, REST).
• Experience as a full-stack developer (Typescript, NextJS, NestJS, React).
• Experience with architecting cloud solutions (AWS and GCP).
• Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Cloud Watch, GCP Logging).
• Experience with microservices and distributed system design patterns.
• Experience with headless CMS (Builder.
io).
• Hospitality or Retail experience a plus.
