We are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Endo Tech to help us reach our goals.

Job Summary and Qualifications As a Lead Endoscopy Tech you will provides direct and indirect nursing services to the Endoscopy patient under the supervision of the professional nurse, and performs tasks necessary to the functioning of the Endoscopy Department according to the standards and policies of the Endoscopy Department.
What You Will Do In This Role: Performs direct patient care as assigned by the RN and reports observations, results of procedures, and patient needs to appropriate person.
Performs technical skills required to assist the physician in the advanced ERCP procedures Sets up all equipment, supplies, and devices needed for the procedure.
Verifies functioning of all equipment prior to procedure.
Maintains supplies/equipment for procedures.
Helps establish par levels on the ERCP equipment and supplies.
Participates in training and education to other staff.
Acts as a resource for staff and physicians for new devices and equipment.
Responsible for the care and maintenance of the various specialty scopes.
Performs technical procedures safely, proficiently and within the scope of practice.
Performs accurate sharp, sponge, and instrument counts at appropriate times with documentation.
Laboratory/pathology specimens labeled correctly on the surgical field.
Recognizes breaks in aseptic techniques or sterilization process and takes measures to correct.
Safety checklists/quality controls completed as required.
Verifies correct sterilization method is utilized for specific instruments and equipment.
Performs procedure for time-out, including confirmation of correct patient, correct site and correct procedure.
Ensures all medication on the surgical field is labeled correctly.
Maintains knowledge of GI and biliary disease processes and procedures to efficiently anticipate procedural events.
Handles instrumentation from basic diagnostic to complex therapeutic procedures.
What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Medical City Arlington is a 435+ bed full-service hospital located in south Arlington.
