2023-2024 Substitute Teacher- RN/LVN

Substitute teachers perform the instructional and classroom managment processes for teachers and educational aides who are absent for a day or longer periods of time.
Their duties include: Taking attendance.
Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
Maintains a safe and orderly environment.
Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned.
Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students.
Remains at school the entire school day, uncless otherwise instructed to leave by the principal.
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.
Communicates effectively with parents when needed.
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locatoins and times designated.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Maintains confidentiality.
Selected candidates must complete additional forms such as I-9, W-4, Direct Depost Enrollment form, etc.
Selected candidates are required to provide a valid driver's license and social security card.
Selected candidates will complete and clear a pre-employment background check.
Selected candidates are required to obtain fingerprints by the state approved provider at a cost ranging from $45-$50.
