Dental Assistant

Hurst Pediatric Dentistry is looking for an outgoing and personable registered dental assistant to grow with our team.
We are a pediatric dental office that is passionate about providing *high quality care in a calming environment* and making sure that all of our patients have a positive experience.
The ideal candidate should *love working with children* and their families, have *excellent communication skills* and be comfortable with same-day treatments.
Active RDA and CPR licenses are required.
1+ year of pediatric dental experience preferred but not required.
Our office hours are from *8:30am to 5pm with an hour lunch break*.

Exact wages negotiable based on experience.
Job responsibilities: * Taking digital sensor x-rays; * Coronal polishing and sealant application under supervision; * Routine room set-up, break-down, instrument cleaning and sterilization; * Assisting doctor with restorative treatments with nitrous oxide, oral sedation or general anesthesia; * Obtaining consents for procedures, discussing pre-op and post-op instructions for restorative patients, and dental hygiene education for recall patients; * Medical history intake, including reviewing medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse; * Maintaining doctor’s schedule and patient flow with a goal of little to no patient wait time, while maintaining time flexibility for patient; * Behaving in a professional and respectful manner at all times while in our office; * Being present, engaged and ready to work at all assigned shift times; and * Maintaining patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance and following our practice’s safety policies and procedures.
