Job Summary
The Bather is responsible for their own schedule of bath dogs.
They are to bathe, blow out (when necessary), and dry dogs, as well as dremel their nails, clean their ears, and brush them out.
Occasional trimming or clipping may be necessary when mats cannot be brushed out.
Job Responsibilities
· An employee in this position must have a sense of caring for animals, be able to lift approximately 40 pounds, walk dogs of up to 130 pounds
· Bathe, Blow out (when necessary), dry, and brush dogs
· Brush outs of undercoats and mats
· Dremel all pets nails with the exception of those pets that don’t tolerate the dremel and cats
· Clean all pets ears using DVM approved ear cleaning solution
· Occasional trimming or clipping of hair may be necessary when mats cannot be brushed out
· Clean all bath and grooming runs and cages
· Clean the bathtub area
· Do Laundry for the groom room
· Wipe down table every time you are done with a patient
· Sweep and mop the groom room
· Enter charges and notes into AviMark for every client
· Assist Groomers when needed
· Communicate with Clients about how their pet did for their bath and let them know when their pet is ready for pickup
· Monitor Shampoos and conditioners and write in the book when we need anything
· Be capable and willing to manage difficult/ aggressive dogs
