*Summary* Responsible for transporting deliveries locally or over the road in accordance with company guidelines and DOT regulations by performing the following duties.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities* include but not limited to the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
* Transports deliveries locally or over the road according to manifest in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company procedures and applicable DOT regulations.
* Utilizes liftgate and pallet jack safely when making customer deliveries * Communicates closely with Dispatch to ensure timely deliveries and reports challenges * Applies knowledge and abilities to safely load and unload deliveries according to the size of load and content description.
* Process shipment documents neatly and efficiently for each shipment and manages discrepancy documentation.
* Obtains and maintains proper delivery authorization and pickup documentation, and submits in a timely manner.
* Provides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company's image.
* Performs a daily DOT pre-trip inspection according to the checklist, and keeps an accurate copy in the vehicle at all times.
* Maintains a daily, legible DOT log book and submits as required.
* Balances and handles an expense account for each trip by recording all expenses and maintaining all receipts.
* Provides basic maintenance for vehicles such as maintaining vehicles in a neat manner and performing minor repairs.
* Maintains company gas credit cards, and valid/current proof of insurance and registration in vehicle.
* Ensures proper maintenance of vehicle and reports all accidents/damage/malfunctions to management.
* *Performs other related duties as assigned, including assisting in the warehouse and operating a forklift.

* Must have at least 3 years of licensed driving experience.
* Must have an unexpired Medical Certificate.
* Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Must be able to operate a truck with a manual transmission.
* Must have a forklift certification.
