This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
Individuals in this role will demonstrate: · Quality Management - Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
· Conflict Management - Understanding of how to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations.
· Decision Making and Critical Thinking - Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
· Patient Safety - Knowledge of and experience with tools, techniques and practices for ensuring a safe and harm-free environment for patients; ability to recognize risks and take steps to minimize them.
· Care Coordination - Knowledge of the medical, social, economic, and other services provided by other departments or facilities, and the ability to integrate these multidisciplinary treatments for optimal patient care.
· Clinical Policies and Standards - Knowledge of all clinical standards and policies set for a healthcare environment; ability to use industry standards, policies and procedures in the processes of clinical practice.
· Patient Rights - Knowledge of principles and practices associated with the rights and responsibilities of patients and caregivers; ability to apply these theories to identify, report, deal with and prevent patient rights violations.
