Position Description
The purpose of this position is to protect property, serve the citizens and deter crime within the City.
This is accomplished by promoting a secure environment through daily Police operations.
Other duties include enforcing traffic laws, reporting on motor vehicle accidents, investigating crimes, maintaining positive community relations, maintaining job proficiency and knowledge, interacting with other City employees and citizens and may include providing specialized services.
This position does not provide direction to other employees.

Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.
What We're Looking For
Police Officer -
Must be a Texas Licensed Police Officer (TCOLE Texas Commission on Law Enforcement)
Must be a US Citizen and at least 21 years of age.
Valid Texas Drivers License with safe driving record.
Must be able to pass criminal background check with no Class B Misdemeanors or above in the last 10 years.
No experience is required but must have passed the Texas Basic Police Officer Academy.
No entry level written test will be given.
