Viva Railings is on the lookout for a dedicated and results-driven Business Development Manager to elevate our sales and promote our top-tier railing products.
The ideal candidate will actively engage with Architects, General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Owners, providing superior product knowledge and support, while demonstrating a passion for new business development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Architects Engagement: Build robust relationships with architects by introducing them to VIVA Railings products, providing educational resources, and developing tailored solutions for their project needs.
Ensure VIVA Railings products are a preferred choice in their designs.
Contractor Relations: Secure VIVA Railings' prequalification status, establish connections with General Contractors' pre-construction and estimating departments, actively bid on upcoming projects, advocate for specification substitutions, and offer solutions for projects in planning or budget stages.
Engage in post-bid negotiations to seal sales deals.
Sales & Customer Interaction: Promptly respond to leads and sales opportunities, organize meetings and product demonstrations, provide quotations, and effectively close sales.
Consultative Relationships: Cultivate relationships with contractors, architects, and designers to promote VIVA Railings products and services, ensuring our products are specified, and uncovering project sales opportunities.
Conduct impactful sales presentations and product knowledge sessions.
Market Strategy & Reporting: Regularly report on territory activities, maintain architect and trade contacts, track project opportunities and statuses, monitor competitive activities, and relay pertinent market and field information through our CRM system.
Quote Management: Efficiently manage and follow up on open quotes, ensuring maximum conversion rates.
Territorial Strategy Development: Formulate and execute market strategies and goals for the assigned territory to guarantee comprehensive market coverage for all VIVA Railings products.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal skills with proven experience in consultative selling to build relationships and boost sales.
Self-motivated individual with a proven track record of setting and surpassing goals.
Flexibility for up to 75% monthly overnight travel within the assigned territory.
Prior extensive work-related travel experience is essential.
Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software.
Exceptional presentation skills combined with superior verbal and written communication abilities.
Persistent, persuasive, and diligent in multitasking and meeting deadlines.
Technical know-how in construction to provide consultative services effectively.
Comfortable working from a home-based office.
Familiarity with long selling cycles.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial building product sales.
Proven experience in sales targeting General Contractors.
Established track record in specification & consulting sales to Architects.
