Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process.
Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
What We're Looking For Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production.
Must be able to work overtime and/or a flexible start/end time as needed.
High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Work Environment Various types of weather, traffic, and road conditions.
Normal climate conditions of the region will also be present such as humidity, heat, and cold.
Noise levels in the work environment (in truck or plant facility) can be moderate to high.
Plant facility environment is subject to unusually warm temperatures during the summer months due to the heat generated by the glass tempering furnaces With the plant facility, while the odors from glass cleaning, sealants, and other products are within acceptable levels, they nevertheless, can be smelled.
Dust, pollen and other typical airborne particulate matter are also present within the atmosphere within the plant facility.
Physical Requirements Lift no more than 75 pounds Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more Ability to wear company-issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.
Ability to work in varied temperatures The plant facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.
) Chemicals, dust, pollen, and other typical airborne particulate matter are present within the atmosphere of the production floor and may create some odors in the plant.
The Company, in an effort to provide its employees with a safe and healthy working environment, limits exposure to chemicals through written procedures, engineering controls, and PPE.
While some chemicals may pose health risks if PPE is not properly used, employees are trained on the proper safety equipment and procedures for handling chemicals.
While the chemical exposure and odors are under acceptable levels set by OSHA and the WCB, they nevertheless, can be smelled and are handled according to the company’s hazardous communication program.
